MTN seeks more Investment In Uganda

MTN Uganda has pledged to invest more in technology to better its services in the country.

MTN Uganda provides fixed, fixed wireless, and mobile telecommunication services in Uganda. The company’s CEO Brian Gouldie told reporters that the company planned to invest Shs (The Ugandan Shilling) 238 billion in 2015. This year, a company statement said, they have invested Shs 157 billion, while last year they invested Shs 138 billion. This represents a 47 per cent year-on-year growth.

 

“Allocation of investment [is] going to key technology types, particularly 3G and LTE and IT infrastructure and VAS, particularly applications and self-service,” Gouldie said in a statement.
